October 10, 2007.......Groundbreaking Ceremony was officially held at the new site of the GrandStay Residential Suites Hotel of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The 71-suite hotel is located in downtown Sheboygan and is scheduled to open in Summer 2008. |
GRANDSTAY TEAM PLACES FIRST IN ST. CLOUD, MN CHAMBER GOLF OPEN!
The St. Cloud GrandStay Residential Suites Hotel team claimed winning honors for best team score at the 61st Annual St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Open. The event was held August 13th at Territory Golf Club. Over 250 golfers competed in the event representing businesses in the St. Cloud and surrounding area. Representing the GrandStay Residential Suites Hotel team was Matt Williams, Nathan Sieve, Bryan Fleegel and Lance Beuning.

Rapid City, South Dakota officially opened its doors on May 24th. This beautiful property is located on 660 Disk Drive. Congratulations goes out to Lynn and all her staff.

The groundbreaking for the new GrandStay Residential Suites at Founders Circle in Apple Valley, Minnesota was held on September 28th. The GrandStay will be part of a larger development called The Village at Founders Circle complete with upscale residences, natural green spaces, an interior plaza and an abundance of retail and restaurant space. The 78 unit hotel, the largest GrandStay to date, will be completed in the summer of 2007.

Construction has began on the GrandStay in Rapid City, South Dakota and the official groundbreaking was held on September 25th. The 53 unit hotel is projected to open in May 2007 and is located at 660 Disk Drive. Stay tuned for more updates!

We are pleased to announce our newest addition to our GrandStay family. A 57-unit GrandStay Residential Suites in Oxnard, California. The hotel is under the management of Joe Mendez.
The Thelen Family (pictured below) were the lucky winners of the $1,000 GrandStay Grand Slam Inning during the St. Cloud River Bats baseball game. The River Bats participate in the Northwoods League, a summer collegiate league comprised of twelve teams dedicated to developing collegiate players from strong baseball programs around the country. Ryan Curry's grand slam in the bottom of the sixth inning on Wednesday, August 9th gave these Bats fans reason to celebrate! The check presentation took place at the St. Cloud GrandStay. Congratulations to the Thelen Family!

The GrandStay Cycling Team hosted the 1st annual GrandStay Criterium in Downtown St. Cloud, MN on Sunday, July 23rd. Over 200 racers from around the midwest competed in 9 different category races. On November 30th, GrandStay Hospitality held a corporate meeting session at the Hilton in downtown Minneapolis. General Managers were all in attendance as well as GrandStay Hospitality personnel. Awards are given annually for General Manager of the year, and GrandStay employee of the year. GrandStay Hospitality awarded Margaret (Mugs) Snaza, the General Manager of the Year for 2005. Margaret has been the General Manager of the Mankato Minnesota GrandStay since it's opening in September of 2002.

GrandStay would also like to congratulate Kristina Whitaker of the La Crosse, WI GrandStay, as the 2005 employee of the year! Kristina has excelled as a Guest Service Representative in La Crosse, and has recently accepted the position as General Manager of the La Crosse location. Kristina will assume this position in early January, 2006.
Diane Gray, General Manager of the La Crosse GrandStay has recently accepted a position with GrandStay Hospitality as Franchise Service Representative. Diane will assume this position early January, 2006.
Our newest development project is a 57-unit GrandStay Residential Suites in Oxnard, California which will open in the spring of 2006! This is the first of 10 hotels in a multi-development agreement covering several states in the western United States.
